Count down with us to the first Nights of Lights celebration. A new fundraiser coming the month of December that will become a holiday tradition for years to come!
During Nights of Lights, singular campsites within the Mounds State Park campground will be decorated by individuals, groups, or businesses; then, spectators will pay an entrance fee to drive along a guided path to view all the decorated campsites. Spectators will be given an 8.5” x 5.5” event brochure which will contain ads by sponsors, sponsors-in-kind, and information about Mounds State Park, the Friends Group, and those who decorated campsites.
Nights of Lights will be held weekly Friday through Sunday 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm during the month of December 2021 and January 1, 2022. The entrance fee will be $5 per any-size vehicle paying by cash and $6 per any-size vehicle paying by debit or credit card.
There are ways to become involved in the Nights of Lights prior to the start of the event. You can become a monetary sponsor, sign up to decorate a campsite, or both!
Become a sponsor with an option for advertisement or personal message in the event brochure. There are multiple levels of sponsorship where your organization, business, or holiday well-wishes can be showcased in the event brochure given to all the spectators.
Reserve and decorate a campsite. The campsite reservation is free and available to individuals, organizations, or businesses! You provide the decorations to make the display truly your own!
If you would like to support the kick-off of a new tradition without the return of advertising or a special message in the brochure, you can make a donation of any amount of your choosing. Donations assist with the purchase of lights, decorations, extension cords, cables, and other holiday merriment.. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
Many special thanks go out to the volunteers making this event possible!
